Merchants, countries, and refunds
How Gooshi keeps publisher payments direct while MCP analytics remains available independently.
Country availability
Your country means the publisher's country of legal establishment, not the owner's current location or bank preference.
Analytics is country-independent
Any publisher can connect an MCP and use tool-level analytics without enabling payments.
Payments require a supported Stripe merchant country
Gooshi checks Stripe's Country Specs before creating a connected merchant account. Stripe makes the final eligibility and verification decision, and the account country cannot be changed after creation.
No cross-border payout flow
Gooshi uses direct charges. The publisher is the merchant, the payment is created on its connected Stripe account, and Stripe pays that account's own bank. Gooshi does not collect customer funds and transfer them to publishers.
Fees and refunds
The current Gooshi application fee is 5% of the customer payment amount, not the publisher's accounting profit.
Who pays Stripe fees?
The connected publisher pays Stripe processing and dispute fees. Stripe owns liability for an unrecoverable negative balance on that connected account under the configured merchant model.
What happens on a refund?
Stripe debits the direct-charge refund from the publisher. Gooshi automatically returns the proportional part of its application fee after receiving the connected-account refund webhook. Stripe's original processing fee might not be returned.
Who handles customers and disputes?
The publisher is the merchant of record and manages refunds, disputes, tax obligations, and customer support in its full Stripe Dashboard.
