Monetization quickstart
Add a payment trigger after MCP traffic and analytics are working.
Complete the Analytics quickstart before adding payment rules. This keeps connection problems separate from payment configuration.
1. Connect Stripe
Open Payments and connect the MCP Owner's Stripe account. The MCP Owner must complete any identity, business, or payout requirements shown by Stripe.
2. Confirm the payment destination
Check that the intended MCP server uses the correct connected payment account. Do not publish a paid trigger if the destination is missing or unexpected.
3. Configure a trigger
Open the MCP server's Triggers section. Select the tool, define when payment is required, choose the payment type and amount, and review the user-facing message.
Save the trigger as a draft first.
4. Test the rule
Exercise both sides of the condition:
- An input or usage state that should allow the call.
- An input or usage state that should require payment.
Check the result and Activity before publishing.
5. Publish deliberately
Publish only after the tool, condition, amount, currency, payment account, and message are correct. Gooshi describes this state as Published in current environment.
See Publish and pause triggers for the release checklist.
