Tool discovery
Load and review the capabilities exposed by an upstream MCP server.
Gooshi needs the current tool catalog before it can show tool-level activity or attach triggers to specific tools.
Discover tools
- Open the MCP server.
- Select Tools.
- Choose Discover tools.
- Review the returned names, descriptions, and input definitions.
An empty result can mean the endpoint is unreachable, the server returned no tools, or the connection requires attention.
Refresh after changes
Use Refresh tools after the upstream MCP server adds, removes, renames, or changes a tool. Then:
- Confirm expected tools are still present.
- Review triggers attached to changed tools.
- Make a representative test call.
- Check Activity for errors.
Refreshing the catalog should be treated as a review point, especially before publishing payment rules.
